VINCENT DUPONT / 2005
Dancer, choreographer, born in 1964, lives and works in Paris.
In 2005, the Laboratoires invite Vincent Dupont to produce a new play. This artist, originally an actor, holds a special role in the field of choreography, because of the importance of text and sound in his plays, and of the visual aspect of the images he produces on stage. Hauts Cris (Miniature), based on a text by Agrippa d’Aubigné from the 16th century, will be produced at the Laboratoires and will explore the sound of the echoes coming from the movements of a dancer alone in a tiny space. A reconstructed domestic space will constitute the scenery for these moves, which, as faint as they may be, will provoke tensions and destroy the scenery. For this piece, the choreographer will work particularly on the sound, with the help of Thierry Balasse, an electro-acoustic specialist.
