This DVD contains ten films made by writer Pierre Alferi between 2000 and 2002. Elaborated from reedited film extracts, these talking films are cinematographic reminiscences in which the text, be it narrative or poetic, occurs in captions or in voice over. The Cinépoèmes, series of poetic texts written for the screen, offer appearance and reading modes based on rhythm, in close relation to the musical themes composed by musician Rodolphe Burger. Crossing different practices, Pierre Alferi’s films are above all the extension of a writer’s work, developing around his writing a dreamlike world constituted by remembrances of images, whisperings, as well as suspended and stretched temporalities. |
