Phoenix Atala is a multidisciplinary artist. He meets the GRAND MAGASIN in the beginning of the 21st century. Together they make half a dozen very successful shows. When aged 30, he makes a feature film which outlines grammatical cinematography. In 2012 he conceives a mechanism to contemplate landscape, then, during a residency in the United States he chronicles his experiences. On his return he does solo performances which explain scenic scriptwriting, he writes and implements an experimental web-serial outlining the rules of script structure and also codes a video game which narrates the life of an artist. His productions are presented at the Centre Pompidou, the Fondation Cartier, the Magasin de Grenoble, the Gaîté Lyrique, the MK2, the Ménagerie de Verre in Paris, and on France Culture and Canal +…

« This is without doubt the singular charm of this artist : he knows how to underline conventions without aloofness ».  Eve Beauvallet (Libération - 4/28/2017)
