Les Laboratoires is a member of Tram, a network of structures engaged in the production and exhibition of contemporary art in Île-de-France region. Today numbering 31, they give evidence of the vitality and the richness of artistic creation in the greater Parisian area. Art centres, museums, art schools, artists collectives, foundations, regional art collection (Frac), these places develop artistic projects of quality often in unexpected contexts. They carry out activities which are complimentary to production, exhibition, collecting, teaching, mediation, publishing.
Les Laboratoires is a funding member of Cluster, a network of eight internationally operating contemporary visual art organisations situated in residential areas on the peripheries of major cities in and outside Europe. Each of these organisations are actively involved in their local contexts, fostering their embeddedness within their surroundings. Cluster was initiated in June 2011 in order to facilitate internal and public exchange of knowledge about how these types of institutions function and also to establish further collaborations between them.
Cluster members include Casco – Office for Art, Design and Theory, Utrecht; CAC Bretigny; Les Laboratoires d’Aubervillers; Tensta Konsthall, Stockholm; The Showroom, London; CA2M Centro Dos De Mayo, Madrid; The Israeli Center for Digital Art, Holon; and Parasite Museum of Contemporary Art, Ljubljana. Cluster is financially supported by the European Cultural Foundation.
