Walk, Hands, Eyes (Aubervilliers) / Et sait-on jamais dans une obscurité pareille
Tuesday 16th December 2014
  • perceptive experiences

In the context of her research residency at Les Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers, Myriam Lefkowitz proposes this fall a series of public openings. An opportunity to operate a first adjustment on a wandering project, initiated six years ago, focused on the modalities and the possible transformations of perception. During these days, she will activate two experiential devices which constitute the core of her artistic practice.

Walks, Hands, Eyes (Aubervilliers) is an experience for a spectator and a guide who, during an hour of silent walk in a given city, weave a specific relationship between walking, seing and touching.

Et sait-on jamais dans une obscurité pareille is also made for one spectator at a time. It consits in the experience of a motionless body plunged into darkness. The device relies on the sense of touch and on the sound space that spreads out around and with the spectator.

Walks are guided by Myriam Lefkowitz, Julie Laporte, and Jean Philippe Derail.
